Nintendo Reports DS Lite Sales in Europe

The Nintendo DS Lite has already hit stores in Europe on June 23rd, and the sleek dual-screen handheld has sold over 200,000 units on its first ten days, which pushed the total of European DS sales to 5 million untis.

Laurent Fischer, European Marketing Director of Nintendo of Europe, says,"Nintendo DS has introduced thousands of new people to gaming and will continue to expand the gaming population due to its ability to appeal to both gamers and non-gamers. During Nintendo DS Lite launch weekend, retailers across Europe said that they had never seen such a vast array of different people buying the product, everyone from business men to young women to grandfathers!"

The Nintendo DS lite is available in black and white priced around £100.
