Touching is Good Contest!

UPDATE: NINTENDO HAS ALREADY SHIPPED MY NINTENDO DS MANNEQUIN HAND. IMPRESSIONS TO COME ONCE IT ARRIVES!

Nintendo of America have recently created something very...different. Head over to TouchingIsGood.com, where you will find a gallery of artistic work inspired by the Nintendo DS.

"Grab a camera (and a mannequin hand), create something cool and enter our contest. Who knows, you might even make it into the Gallery. Plus, we'll pick a few of the best and send them a Nintendo DS or... some cold hard cash... which feels real good when you touch it."

Don't have a mannequin? Want one (for the contest)? You are in luck, it seems as if Nintendo is giving those out as well. Check it out!

No Room At E3?

As we are down to our final two months before E3 Expo 2005 hits Los Angeles, it would seem that any developer looking for some room will be fresh out of luck. With more than 150 developers, all 540,000 square feet of the LA Convention Center has been booked.

"With a show floor the size of 2,700 city blocks, an unparalleled business conference program, and more than 400 exhibitors from 87 countries, E3Expo is truly the best place on the planet to get down to the business of fun."

-Rigid body dynamics
-Universal collision detection
-Finite element analysis
-Soft body dynamics
-Fluid dynamics
-Hair simulation
-Clothing simulation

The processor will help cynical gamers shut thier mouths. Another announced processor was the NovodeX Physics SDK, which will help enable physics in gameplay in systems and in PCs. The new processor could be used in anyway. Basically, the new processor will help with in game physics and graphics to be more realistic.

Nintendogs to Launch as 3 Seperate Games!

If you haven't heard of Nintendogs yet (Puppy Times in the US), it's a virtual pet game that lets you play with dogs, teach them new things and even let them communicate with your friend's dogs through wireless connection. It seems to be Nintendo's biggest attempt yet at attracting non gamers to the Nintendo DS. So with that in mind, earlier today Nintendo updated their Japanese website with some interesting information.

It appears that Nintendogs will actually be implemented into three different versions. Each version will host different dogs and most likely a series of other things. Hopefully by doing this, it will also emphasize on trading with friends. Pokemon did this exceptionally well, will Nintendogs too? There is currently no word on whether or not the American (or European) versions will do this as well.

New Colors Coming to the DS!

According to Nintendo of Japan, the Nintendo DS will be coming in 4 new colors. The first set of colors will be Black and White, which are scheduled to release on March 24th in Japan. The two other colors will be pink and blue, which will come out sometime next month. Unfortunately, Nintendo of America has not announced new colors for it's region. As always, comments are appreciated!

DS Online coming soon?

EGM is reporting that Nintendo is almost finished with the "Nintendo DS Network". A few months later, after announcing full detail of the Nintendo DS, Miyamoto-san and Akitoshi Kawazu, Square-Enix producer, announced that they will be making an online network for the Nintendo DS.

In January 2005, Nintendo announced that they will be making a big announcement in March which could mean that the announcement could be the "Nintendo DS Network". This is a pretty incredible rumor here, but Nintendo has not confirmed this rumor yet.

The UK is getting its share of advertising for the DS and we have two of the DS commercials. The commercials are alot different from the ones we see over here and they seem superior in alot of ways.
