Alright, the keynote is done.

Miyamoto stands up. Number three, Iwata says, is Nintendo DS. Iwata mentions "touch generation" games such as Nintendogs and Brain Trainer. Nintendogs has topped one million units shipped in Japan already, according to Iwata.
60% of Nintendogs buyers picked up the game with a DS, according to Club Nintendo statistics. Iwata begins topic on how to build game population going forward. Giant Wi-Fi logo on screen in background. Iwata says he will reveal much more on next-generation Wi-Fi this October."

Whoa. Ok I kinda like it...But will anyone else. I think Nintendo might have gone a little "Too out of the box" on this one. But we'll just have to see when it comes out.

I think it will be good. It looks like the only let down is a lack of butons on the face of the controller. I know when playing games like Doom on the GBA, having only two buttons made it very annoying.

btw... WHY?!?!?!? WHY!?!!?!?!!?
....it has no X or Y..
it has to sets of A and B..
and no triggers... (1 if you plug the stick in)
as noted.. the trigger on the tv remote is the second B...
cuz you know.. you need two B's...

It's out there, very out there, out there enough to be, dare I say, Revolutionary? This will take getting use to, no doubt, but I'm sure they'll have much for it to work with (imagine plugging into a more conventional controler, a keyboard, a bat?). This small peice of glossy plastic I think will be quite unique and will offer an enriching game experience. The idea of playing in 3-d space is quite forward. It would be silly to have a screen of any kind on the controller, giros can be incorperated into this design, they've given dev's lots to work with, to think about. It will be interesting. It is amazing. It's basically like a free space mouse. And at first glance, many people think that the lack of buttons is a problem. Once you actually use it and realize how many things it can really do, then you begin to realize that all of those buttons are pointless.

Gamespot confirms those small a and b buttons are x and y buttons. If u turn it side ways it will be like a NES controller

O man, what a great idea huh? If anyone one is scared of the controller read the prewiew on Gamespot. And it looks like FPS's are going to suit the controller very well

>>Gamespot confirms those small a and b buttons are x and y buttons. If u turn it side ways it will be like a NES controller

but.. x and y will be pointless to be "x and y" when its all NES style... cuz then you cant use A and B then...
and then the suposed X and Y's will then become like A and B... which they are... so.. still pointless... the only way i could see using this is either grapling one hand on top of one another... like 2 people fighting over a tv remote... oooooorrrrr holding it with 1 hand like a remote... using the giant A and trigger B... then using a and b somehow ... ummmm... WITH YOUR FACE!!!

...so yes... it is... not coo..

I was there watching the TGS last night. When that controller was revealed I almost pissed myself. That thing is friggin sweet! I want to rub my balls on it and not let anyone else play it. That is a a REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!! I never had any doubts about nintendo, and when I first saw that contoller, my hope was restored in console games!

And for all of you non believers there are still four gamecube controller ports on the back that you can use for games.

The controller is basically a virtual touch screen/mouse!!!!!!!! They are going to make a DS Player add-on that will let you play DS games on your tv, screen, or whatever you use for visual! They'll be too stupid not too.

Talk about copyright infringement. You need to remove those images, they belong to IGN and 1UP, you have no place posting them. Take this as a wrod of friendly advice, you can be sued, and sued fast for violating copyright law. Those images by law belong to someone else, by the watermark on all the images.
