Rare Supports DS
That's right, Nintendo's former second party company is getting ready to produce a DS game. Rare has listed some new job openings on its website looking for new people specifically for DS titles. GAMES PROGRAMMERS (NINTENDO DS)
Must be motivated, enthusiastic and skilled in C/C++ to join our dedicated handheld team, recently nominated for a Develop Industry Excellence Award. 3D skills also an advantage in creating high-profile titles for this unique system.
EXPERIENCED 3D ARTISTS (NINTENDO DS)
Good understanding of 3D packages (preferably Maya), strong modelling and texturing abilities, imagination and motivation are all required from anyone hoping to join our Develop award-nominated team in creating key DS titles.
In the N64 days Rare produced some of the best games ever to see the light of day. After most of the members left to form the company now known as Free Radical, the company was not producing the same AAA titles and Nintendo sold them off to Microsoft. Hopefully with this news we may see some Banjo-Kazooie DS games, or maybe even some Jet Force Gemini action on the dual screened system.

Well , well good news for DS!!!
Now I be the FIRST to start the RUMOUR MILLS going that Perfact Dark will be on the DS? Or maybe Goldeneye DS?? Can the Fan Boys start masturbating with violence over this for 6 months??
Its true that in the N64 days RARE was great BUT like you say that team of people is mostly gone to several OTHER companies including free radicals. And since then, RARE has only had good titles and not the amazing super titiles of the pas in N64. But still good news.
Banjo DS please. Killer Instincts DS please Perfect Dark DS please.
All new faranchise please.
NO remakes!!! New games with some old multiplayer levels are ok but NO remakes.
Hey, will they make PSP games alsoâ¦hummmm??????
Banjo-Threeie please.
10:1
The team will simply remake, and port N64 classics over. Not like that's too much of a problem, Perfect Dark with Online would be awesome.
Rare and Nintendo went well together (who care about the new Conker anyway?)so let's see what kind of effort they put into these DS games. It is exciting to think of the possiblilties. Too bad they couldn't do the Goldeneye remake since EA has the rights.
Why does every sentence you bring up have to do with masterbation PSPQC?
That's funny. It's true PSP Quality when a new game comes out you say something about whackin' off or a vibrating DS feature. Do we really sound that bad as fanboys(your word)? Please tell me because I'd like to sound a little more objective. That's funny though. =)
Sometimes SOME of you guys do.
But sometimes, I am just buging you guys!
Anyway, it will be interesting to see what games are going to be on the DS from RARE. I bet banjo and PD and KI
I want to see Goldeneye64, Perfect Dark, Killer Instinct Maybe, and even Diddy Kong (that racer was fun).
Banjo Kazooie/Tooie were easily Rares finest moments on the 64 RPG wise. DK with exp Pack was good but not my favorite. I hope they dont mess up Banjo like Banjo Pilot and Grunties Revenge, both on GBA and were average, not great like they should have been.
