Zelda DS info
In an interview with Wired.com, the director of Twilight Princess, Eiji Aonuma released a little bit of info about Zelda DS. Aonuma confirm that it will be "primarily controlled with the system's touch screen and stylus pen." Aonuma-san also confirm Zelda DS will not be a port or a sequel to the Four Swords series.Source: DS Advanced

I hope so. I'm sorry but 4 swords was gettin' pretty old to me. Hopefully a 3d Zelda or at least a top view without cell shaded graphics. My girlfriend is starting to wonder about Link.
Which Link is she worried about?
And I hope a touch screen Zelda will be great. But it scares me that it may not be.
Also, I think a 3d world with graphics BETTER than OOT wold sell millions on the DS.

i only hope that they dont miss use the touch screen. then the game will suck. This is for sure, the game will be a new Zelda game just like OOT. 3D and everything good. Maybe online too, you never know. Yeah I know Nintendo wont !@#$ this up. LONG LIVE NINTENDO
I agree PSP. 3d DS Zelda is a no brainer. My girlfriend remember's Link as a badass, but she see's Windwaker and 4 swords style and she thinks he's a little fruity now. Wait till she see's link in T.P.
I hope it will have some sort of realistic 3D graphics.
I feel Nintendo is somewhat guilty of using the DS as a glorified Gameboy and they're letting developers do the same.
I understand Viewtiful Joe but other than that we need 3D graphics. No more cell shading and 2D for a while.
As long as the stylus doesn't control Link the game should be great. Maybe this can be another serious Zelda that can attract others. All the gameboy games were ok but now DS version should be advanced.

DS HAS been over used in 2D, BUT it looks now that lots of 3d is coming our way. Goldeneye, Metroid DS Mario Kart, New MArio Bros, V joe, Splinter Cell and many more use good looking 3D. Things were bad a few months after aunch, but now better I guess.
IF Nintendo wants to make LOTS of 2d...thats ok...do it on the GBA, gamers can play those 2D games on the DS anyway, just useing the GBA port.
I cant wait for a OOT beatring graphics all new Zelda. Even the PSP can not have a better game, unless Nintendo fucks up and uses touch tooooo much?
Man if it was any where near even OOT graphics that would be sweet. It should be able to since Mario 64 looked nice. OOT is the best game ever made. I'm glad somebody brought that up. I've been thinking of playing it again on the bonus disk for Gamecube. Think'll go and do just that. Thanks PSP.
I vote gritty cell shade! I saw the Viewtiful Joe DS game and it's graphics are top quality. I'm not talking about Wind Waker zelda . . but something completely different. More mature and stylish.
I hear ya, but I just feel that any more Zelda games that are not photorealistic are gonna hurt the series in my opinion and it's my favorite series. The same way Nintendo is guilty of milking Mario, they're also guilty of milking Zelda. A Zelda game should come out every few years or so and it would be continuously on top. Too many gameboy iterations and connectivity. I'm sorry but don't cheapen Link!
Minish cap was cool but enough now with Zelda in tights.
Remember the Minish Cap commercial graphics? The Animated 3d in those commercials looked sweet, and for a minute there that's how I thought the game was gonna look like till I remembered, gba, duh. But if they use anthing close to those graphics, it could be the best looking, non-3d zelda ever. Even better than ww. Those graphics in the commercial put ww to shame, imagine them in hi-res... The touch screen is more than likely going to allow you quick access to the menu screen, ite, and weapon usage, touch targeting, minigames, instrument playing, and a new sketch pad for an artistic recreation of link to create as a memory of his journeys. I really do hope so though.
I actually never saw it but I'll take your word for it. I know those GBA Zelda games were really good but maybe they should give it a different name than "Legend of Zelda". Call it "Chronicles of Link" or somethin'.
But it's very exciting that Eiji Aonuma is working on the DS version so I hope to hear more soon.
I really hope link doesn't get turned into a ball.... and has to save Hyrule which an evil sorcoress is turning into cheese...

A 3d game such as Ocorina Of Time or Majora's Mask would increase DS sales greatly. I think Nintendo is sprung off the DS's wire-less multiplayer capabilities.
