Over a thousand products will debut at E3
"The Entertainment Software Association [ESA] today announced that there will be over 1,000 computer games, videogames, and related products debuting next month at the 11th annual Electronic Entertainment Expo. Overall, there will be over 5,000 products shown at E3. Over 4,000 will be available for purchase by the end of the 2005.In a survey of exhibitors, the ESA asked companies to provide details of what they consider to be their top-ten products at E3. According to the survey, which was released today, top-ten titles at E3Expo 2005 will fall into the following categories:
Action/Adventure games (19 percent)
Role Playing games (13 percent)
Sports/Driving/Racing games (11 percent)
Child/Family games (6 percent)
Strategy games (5 percent)
Simulation games (4 percent)
Educational/Edutainment games (3 percent)
Arcade games (3 percent)
Other games (4 percent).
The ESA today also confirmed that E3 Insider will be making a return. Once again, the general public and those under the age of 18, who are not permitted to attend E3, will be able to visit the show virtually via E3 Insider."
Good news for those of you that are minors, myself included. I was not aware of the E3 Insider, but it seems like that is my only option as of now.
