New Device Records in DS/PSP formats
From Kotaku:"A Japanese company is developing a media recorder that can record video straight from a TV or DVD player to a memory card. The device can save in a variety of formats including the formats used for the PSP and Playan video attachment for the GBA SP and Nintendo DS. The $150 or so device is a small, sleek black device with AV inputs and four buttons. The buttons allow you to start recording, select format and mode. I hope thereâs a way to control quality as well. Sounds like a must buy for anyone who wants to do routine television program recording."

Usefull for those that arnt net-savy, or those that are lazy ;)
Allthough another kick-in-the-teath for sonys plans for the UMD format to catch on :-/
I cant see how they are going to make money on the PSP at the moment..even if it does catch up with the DS by the end of the year.
Wow... That was an extremely intelligent comment. And, actually, I was thinking the same way. This (along with the PSX being able to convert videos for the PSP) will eliminate the PSP's multimedia functionality. Sony will not have any exclusivity or advantages (especially when Nintendo releases the Play Yan in North America).
Well, unfortunately the Play Yan is off to a really bad start. With the recall and all, it's really been hurt. If it can be marketed well in North America and Europe (if it goes there), then the PSP will take some small punches.
