Amazing! Nintendogs Sells Well and Gets Perfect Score!
Nintendogs for the Nintendo DS has recieved a perfect Famitsu score of 40/40. Famitsu is considered the most respectable gaming magazine in Japan. Infact, very few games have been given a perfect score in it's history. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Soul Caliber and Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker are among few of the titles that have recieved 40/40 (Meteos was recently close recieving 9,9,10,10). There have been a couple of others, but to recieve a perfect score is definately an honor. This is incredible and to make matters better, the overall sales for the first day have exceeded 80,000. Wow.

This game truely had the Miyamoto touch to it and I am very excited for Nintendo and their sucess of the Nintendo DS. They are reaching the market they had set out to and it's only been 4 months in Japan. My only hopes are that the US and European markets can do the same, as that is very important.

Only 5 games have recieved 40/40 in Famitsu. That is really impressive.
Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, Vagrant Story, Soul Caliber(for Dreamcast).
Who let the Dogs out? Nintendo did.
maybe It will get good marks in USA and be popular, but PSP seems to be taking a ot of popularity away from DS.
Good News- You dont have to pick up dog shit with this game.
Bad News- It wont hump your leg when you are horny.
I might play it, and if its wifi than my Dogs will be trained to kill on command, all the people I want, maybe old people?
Looks fun.
Videogamerj do you exclude the news symbol (General News, Media news, or rumor news) when there is a picture in your post?
PSP QC -- let us be grateful. Nintendogs does finally showcase some of those 3-D capabilities you've been longing for on the DS. (Even if it is 3-D dog crap.)
I've read elsewhere that Nintendogs is supposed to be online when it's released here. I had no interest in this non-game when I first heard about it, but now I want it...
Yeah. DS is starting to show its power.
good times.
Yeah, you can rant on the DS all you like, but when a game that Miyamoto helped create scored 40/40, you can definately expect something great.
Yes, you are correct.
He makes Mario right?
Creator of Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, Pikmin and many more.
Some guy (Jimmy something-or-other?) on one of the IGN DS discussion boards who distributes weekly "Tidbits" floated a rumor a few weeks back that Pikmin was coming to DS. Anyone else hear/read confirmation of this elsewhere on the web?
I HATED listening to that game when my kids played versions 1 and 2 on the GC, but when I tried it myself I couldn't walk away from it. Insanely addictive. Here's hoping Pikmin DS is for real...
Well, I am not one to trust rumors unless they come from a large gaming site (i.e. IGN or GameSpot). I don't see Pikmin listed as a title for the DS on any site's Release Date list, so don't count on it. Sorry.
PSP Quality controller: your good news is actually wrong, during taking the dog for a walk, you HAVE to pick up your dog shit.
Pikmin is one of Miyamoto's finest games, and to see it on the Nintendo DS would not be a suprise. Infact, I would say that there is a 25% chance of seeing it at this years e3 and 50% at next year and...
Well, it's going to happen. I have a feeling.
I have to pick up dog shit...in the game??
Do you get an e- ticket if you say no?
So, do the dogs tha meet up smell each others ass holes and mount also? This could be fun.
I like this game. 3d Graphics and animal poop and maybe some dog fighting deathmatches on wi-fi.
Don't count on it. Realistic violence is not Miyamoto's style.
Miyamoto is the last person to vouch for animal cruelty in a video game. Don't count on it. :P
Yeah, Nintendo wont have dog fighting. But it could still be fun.
the dog skills obsticle course looks good, is it wi-fi. Mine will be fast.
Also I hope they keep the realsim in when dogs first meet up and smell each others pipe holes and mount. That would be so funny to show people.
I like the graphics. Looks as good or better than a N64 dog game would.
But I hear there will be 4 different versions
I've read elsewhere -- IGN.com? -- there will be three editions of Nintendogs (as in Japan) when it debuts in the U.S. later this year, but each of the American editions will supposedly incorporate a couple more dog breeds than there are in the Japanese versions. Also, some of the Japanese dog breeds will be replaced with more popular American breeds...
