Trash Talk on the PSP and DS
Yesterday Sony just announced that the Sony PSP will be launching in Japan on December 12 and it`s price point will be at a very low price of 19,800 yen ($185). Well, it looks like Nintendo is questioning Sony annoucement on the Sony PSP.
"That's not a game machine," said Yasuhiro Minagawa, head of PR for Nintendo Co., Ltd. "They showed it at the [Tokyo] Game Show without any fundamental game software, and you can tell that it's not yet complete."
But Sony`s Ken Kautaragi is dropping bombs on Nintendo`s new handheld as he praises the Sony PSP, and its franchise as he says, "People who want to play with Pikachu will need Nintendo's new-style DS machine," he said, "but those who want to play our racing game Gran Turismo 4 will need a PSP, right?"
As this handheld war heats up, an analyst from Masuru states, "By announcing an unexpectedly low price for the PSP, Sony has raised the chances that it will fully expand into the market. Many game publishers are now saying, 'At that price, we'd seriously like to make games for the PSP.'"
Well It looks like handheld war in Japan we be close, but Sony shouldn`t count out the GBA as they need to keep an eye on the GBA than the Nintendo DS.

Notes from Ultimate Zelda Guru:
Talk about not liking each other. Well, this is to be expected and right now I would have to say that Sony has the upper hand between those two quotes. Gran Turismo or whatever the game is, shall be a better racing game than Pokemon Dash, but I think that Ridge Racer would have been a better comparison. I myself am not a big fan of the racing games unless they offer more than just simple racing, such as a Mario Kart type game would. Expect Sony to be picking out the most kidding games in the Nintendo library for the next few months, as they will try to continue the image that Nintendo is still 'kiddy'. Nice find Falco. GO DS!

im kinda in a funk lately. It sounds to me like the psp is gonna murder the DS. that psp price just pisses me off. Im also feelin sorry for all those who havent pre order, dang!
Thanks Guru, but i really do think DS will be okay since the PSP will be up against the GBA, and i think if Sony thinks that they`re competing against the DS; this will be their down fall against the GBA since that`s what they are competing against
