EA Plans Large DS Library
EA had a confrennce on tuesday to discuss past results and plans for the future through to 2006. They outlined some of thier plans for thier side of the hand-held market.
"We havenât finalized our SKU plan for FY06, but I would imagine that youâll see us publish something in the neighborhood of 8 to 12 titles for the Dual Screen, 15 to 20 on the PlayStation Portable ... We would certainly expect to have the kind of market share on the PlayStation Portable as we have enjoyed on the PlayStation 2 and, I think, a larger market share on the Dual Screen than we have had on the Game Boy Advance."
This is good news for DS fans (myself included) and it will definately help us get some good games in our game slots. Although many are disappointed to see that they will be producing more games for the PSP perhaps if the DS games sell well those numbers will switch.
