DS game cards details? (speculation)

I found this article on Gamecube Europe, "Matrix Semiconductor has begun shipping it`s memory chips in Japan. Using 3D layeryed transitor design denser memory at a cheap price can be produced. This is all well and good in general, but it could be big news for Nintendo fans.

Two years ago Nintendo invested $15 million on Matrix, seeing the potenial for the Gameboy Advance techonolgy. While Matrix`s Vice President Dan Steere refuses to announce the company they have shipped to, but he did state they would use it in a read-only nature.

While it is all speculation at the moment, it could mean that Nintendo plans to use these to store DS games for a cheap price. We will have to wait for an official word though."
